Terra cruda nel patrimonio architettonico siciliano: conoscenza e conservazione

Research output: Contribution to conferenceOtherpeer-review

Abstract

[automatically translated] Numerous archaeological sites in Sicily preserve examples of the use of raw earth. These are findings related to a chronological period stretching from prehistory to the Hellenistic age, even for different types: from the fortifications to more modest residential buildings; from places of worship to emporiums and buildings for craft activities. The report aims to illustrate the results of a PRIN 2005/2008 research, conducted involving archaeologists working in the field, in order to constitute the basis for a hitherto fragmentary knowledge and little connected to conservation problems.
