Abstract

[automatically translated] One of the most interesting experiences of participation in the urban transformation processes of the last years in Italy is carried out in Rome on the occasion of the presentation of the town plan in 2003. The associations of the old town, and in particular those of the Rione Monti, started a process discussion and information-action involving citizens, universities, technicians, local authorities and various other protagonists of the urban landscape. Professor Carlo Cellamare, urban planning professor at the Faculty of Engineering of the University "La Sapienza" of Rome, has been one of the promoters of this initiative, and has dealt with the issues related to it in the seminar held at the Department of Architecture in Palermo 07/04/2011.
