Abstract
The spread of COVID-19 has forced teachers and students to move to distance teaching and learning forwhich they were certainly not prepared. This study aims to get together information on the organizationaland didactic strategies activated, on the critical issues and on the evaluation of the didactic effectiveness ofthe Latin language teaching practices. The challenge of the research is to draw from a difficult experiencesuch as the one we are experiencing that will help us reconsider teaching and especially teaching Latin evenin the post-emergency phase. Ten teachers involved in the research from Sicily and Piedmont regions. Theparticipants have developed a personal application of the shared principles within their educational path;they were being monitored and supervised in both group and individual mode. Despite the difficulties, theteachers worked hard to fill the gaps in distance learning and to transform this experience into anopportunity for creativity, sharing and experimentation with innovative teaching methods.
