Abstract

[automatically translated] In a world increasingly marked by flows, exchanges and mobility of goods, economies, information and services, migration back to take - in recent decades - a major role, with all the complexities and contradictions of the phenomenon. Italy, in this, is no exception, with unprecedented social processes, which affect the redistribution (and complementary resistance to redistribution) of tangible and intangible resources, rights (approved or denied) and privileges: the right of citizenship at work, from the house to the right to the city, in terms of access and use of its space and its resources. Policies and plans are however still rather weak and fragmented in addressing the issue of the presence of foreigners. These are strongly interconnected aspects, and complementary: recognition of citizenship guarantees the right to forms of representation and participation, in relation to the city transformation processes; at the same time policies and plans affecting, and much, on citizenship education. The book contains a trip, in different cities and regions of Italy, from south to north, in search of experience and possible answers to guarantee a renewed right to the city.
