Machreq: L''alba' delle civiltà mediterranee

Research output: Chapter in Book/Report/Conference proceedingChapter

The historical events of Machreq have led to the mixing of populations coming from places unrelated to the territory as well as an inevitable migration phenomenon between one country and another, or outside the borders of the Middle East, of many people forced to flee in look for security. The francophone literature of Machreq is, in general, little known because the authors who write in a foreign language, for an essentially arabophone region, remain mostly marginal within their own country, and, even outside of this region, because of a widespread ignorance of the historical reasons of the presence of French language and of the essential role it played in these countries. Anyway, the literature in French language in Machreq is, next to the Arabophone one, rich and flourishing.
