Abstract

[automatically translated] The paper presents an analysis conducted on data extracted from reports on homophobia treated by Arcigay 2006-2007 that put through the various cases of violent behavior against the LGBT population as reported by the local room and nazionale20. Data were coded by an encoding scheme that sought to take account of the distribution by year, of the territorial, socio-demographic characteristics of aggressors and victims but especially the relational dimensions between victim and aggressor, the types and dynamics of violent behaviors and their effects. The amount of data does not allow an analysis of the processes accomplished but rather offers the possibility of interpretative21 hypothesis. These limits are motivated by the same types of data that could potentially suffer from some biases arising from the source, they are selected and a more general unavailability of data similar to istituzionale22 level. The collection of data has allowed to analyze the size mentioned above on a number of violent incidents amounting to about 235 cases in the period between 2006 and 2012 about the generality of the LGBT population.
