Abstract

The silver bat of Prizzi, a town in the Sicilian mountains, made between 1723 and 1724, is referred to the silversmith Placido Carini from Palermo. The work, compared with other similar contemporary artefacts, was probably commissioned by Francesco Bonanno, Baron of Prizzi.
