Abstract

[automatically translated] In the contemporary debate, both scientifically and in journalism, the concept of flexibility, like that of globalization, designates both a discontinuity, to the point of defining a change in the paradigm of capitalism, as a term with a strong normative value, which It indicates a direction in which you must go to aim to the magnificent and progressive economic and social development, as well as to new frontiers of freedom for men and women, new life opportunities, new identities. Our work undergoes critical both determinations associated with the concept of flexibility, primarily showing how capitalism, in its historical path, has already made use of various forms of flexibility, which is associated to this way of production since the origins ; secondly, highlighting the link between development of global capitalism, financialization of the economy and the spread of flexible working; thirdly, stressing that the legal definition of this concept is just a corollary of the neoliberal ideological clichés, as is evident in light of the fact that the flexibility or labor mobility, their consideration, worldwide, continuous, and getting stronger, forms of control when they walk on the legs of men and women migrants. Moreover, by virtue of the latter consideration, we want to investigate the relationship between flexibility and international migration in globalization, on the assumption that migrants and immigrants constitute the ideal types of flexible workforce, albeit to be regulated, always so coveted by capitalism.
