Gli argentieri Memingher tra Sicilia e Spagna

Research output: Chapter in Book/Report/Conference proceedingChapter

Abstract

It analyzes the production of the Argentieri Memingher between Sicily and Spain and it dwells on the little known activity of bronzist of Andrea and on his collaboration to the realization of the canopy altar of the chapel of San Fausto in Mejorada del Campo (Madrid), realized on models of Giacomo Serpotta. This confirms the direct relationship between the two artists and underlines the high level reached by the silversmith, who enjoyed the appreciation of viceroys and high prelates.
