This volume analyzes each of the cycles of the book of poems (Seti, 1908) by M.A. Kuzmin in order to follow the traces of some themes, which pass through the book. These themes (human body, journey, art, clothing, written text, spirituality and love, symbolic space, red color), like the threads of a warp, sometimes stop suddenly, or they appear again in other cycles of poems later on in the book tied up to brand new themes. This essay has the aim to examine the ideological value and metaphoric functions of these thematic threads which create a peculiar poetic warp that catches and shows to the reader images, memories, feelings, life experiences of the poet. Moreover this essay compares some poems of Seti with others of the most representative poets of the so called Silver Age of the Russian literature (K. Bal’mont, Vl. Majakovskij, O. Mandel’štam, A. Achmatova, S. Gorodeckij, E. Guro, F. Sologub).
