Research output: Book/ReportBook

Abstract

Ettore De Maria Bergler (Naples, 1850 - Palermo, 1938) is one of the greatest exponents of nineteenth and twentieth century Sicilian art, appreciated during the most important events of the period such as the International Art Exhibition of the city of Venice . He was a pupil of Francesco Lojacono, and occupies a prominent place in the sicilian painting landscape, since his education was not foreign to the schools of Naples and Florence. The volume, with a rigorous methodological approach, presents unpublished works and testimonials of value that document the Sicilian artist's European background.
