The essay aims to examine the constitutional retrogression which has led to a change in the form of Turkey’s government. It examines the legislative and constitutional reforms which have been introduced in the last decade, a period in which it has been possible to see the illiberal involution of the Turkish system. From the studies carried out, it is possible to deduce that the Turkish illiberal involution has some characteristic in common with the Hungarian constitutional experience. This has been defined as a constitutional coup, a definition that could also be used for the Turkish experience.
