The archbishops of Palermo during the centuries have consistently expressed a dignified commission of sacred art, often very expensive and prestigious for materials, models, and the architects chosen: metal furnishings, printed books or manuscripts on parchment and paper, textile artifacts made of textured fabric or embroidered, insignia of bishops in use in the private chapel or in the cathedral. In accordance with the inventories, the article analyzes the identified heritage that still exists today. It is possible to see it since 2006 in the rooms of the old sacristy and of the ancient Thesaurum of the cathedral of Palermo.
