In front of kaos and kosmos, order and disorder, general theorization and “weak” thought, modernity, post-modernity, over-modernity… man is nowadays not able to form an absolute opinion on anything. Making a choice can cause troubles, maybe desperation however, being obliged to opting for several consequent choices, as it happens in the planning process, can become an insoluble drama. Considering these aspects, we think it would be necessary to stop for a while in order to make some considerations (even though relative and partial) on the discipline, its scientific foundations and their actual feasibility in the architectural plan.Any considerations on the fundamentals of architecture maybe be useful to determine some essential points and the development of a no-consequential way which could allow us to find our bearings in the intricate world of contemporary architecture.
