In the first part of this article (paragraphs 1-3), Edoardo D'Angelo wrote about the history and goals of ALIM. In the second part (paragraphs 4-10), Paolo Monella wrote a reflection on the digital humanities aspects of the transition of the ALIM project from HTML to TEI XML (both for the texts and the metadata of the archive); he also discusses issues raised by collaboration between humanites, digital humanists and IT specialists in the ALIM project.
