Project Details

Description

The Palermo unit is going to start by reviewing the literature relating to one of the main operational fields of the project: Measuring the performative component in the pragmatics of language and in enunciative approaches. This aspect will be developed by referring to the role that speakers’ bodily resources play in verbal exchanges. Research will be centered on one of the key topics in language studies, i.e. interlocution, with a specific focus on its relation to an aspect of human performativity: the way sensory motor experiences come into play in the dialogic genesis of meaning (semiogenesis). The linkage between interlocution and bodily resources will be investigated in the context of three research programmes:- enactive grammar;- praxematics;- mimetic anthropology. The research will address three topics:1. sensory experiences of interlocution;2. its action units;3. the semiosic constraints by which it is governed.
