Description

The aim of CeRAM is to preserve, catalogue and enhance the documentary heritage coming from the archaeological researches of the Department Cultures and Society in Sicily, Greece, Libya, Egypt and Syria. This archive also includes books, papers, documents and photos of the ‘Adriani’ and ‘Joly’ bequests.
CeRAM supports the researches of the Department and the educational activities.
The documentary heritage and the sections of the photographic archive, dedicated to the main Mediterranean archaeological sites and to the most important Museums collections, are already accessible to majoring and PhD students.
A digitalisation project of the photos and draawings has been recently undertaken to guarantee their preservation and in order to share the database, allowing a free consultation and a regulated use by Italian and foreign scholars and students.
